From the early 1980s to the latter 1990s I was periodically in Europe—principally in Belgium and the Netherlands but also France and Germany—primarily focused on establishing personal relationships with Bouvier people such as Ria Klep, Caya, the Verheyens and Justin Chastel. Along the way I took a few photos and of more importance received others of great historic significance from the principle Bouvier people of the era. Important photos also came from Alfons & Annie Verheyen, Jean Du Mont, Edmee Bowles and Felix Grulois.

Many of these are presented here along with descriptive commentary to provide context and history.
