Belga de la Gendarmerie, imported by J. Wolfs of the Bouvier kennal "van Maarland", became the dam of the first two Dutch bred Bouviers to become Netherlands Champions, and grand dam of the third and forth! This grand daughter of the immortal Nic was truly the foundation of not only the kennel van Maarland, but the entire Dutch Bouvier movement.
