phrase for "crude, low class and ugly working dogs" with "working"
being the most disparaging term of all.  But for me the traditional
Dutch police lines are the purest and most noble of all, the very
essence of the Bouvier heritage.  Here we have Bart Krist's Duko van
Mereveld, holder of the Dutch Police certificate and perhaps the
quintessential specimen of his line and his heritage.

Duko was purchased by Bart Krist from Coen Semler, who had received
him as a stud puppy back for the services of Nerodan.
