This remarkable photo, probably of the female Lyda owned by Philemon Gryson, was supplied by Annie Verheyen. It is stamped with Gryson's name on the back, and the notes, perhaps in the founder's own hand, are "Lyda de la Lys" and under that "Duduc." Gryson probably thought of her as a "de la Lys" dog, even though she was registered as bred by Ruben-VandeMeulebroek, this was not uncommon in that era.
