The spill over of Pit Bull fighting from obscure rural roots to the inner city, and the consequent plague of Pit Bull attacks on American streets, is a complex societal problem with no simple or easy solutions.
In order to avoid heavy handed solutions devised by politicians under pressure the canine community must do much more than chant slogans and push blind opposition to breed specific legislation.
