Web and Data Base Opportunities

Continual advances in web, data base and software technology provide
opportunities to enhance USA's web presence, operating efficiency
and member services.  The demonstrations presented here are meant to
provide examples of what is possible.

This site functions in a similar way to the one used for the WUSV in
the Netherlands.  Like that site, this one also could use data base
stored photos of dogs and/or handlers.

If a system such as this or the one used for the WUSV had been in
place for the nationals, continual updates of scores could have been
made from any computer with web access, without any special software
installed on that computer.  Notice that the viewers would have the
option of seeing the competitors in alphabetical order or rank ordered
according to score, that is, with the first place dog shown first and
so forth.

This is not intended in any way to be critical of what we are doing
today, but as a demonstration of what we could be doing tomorrow.

Also, similar systems could be set up for members, helpers and/or
clubs.
