AWDF Smack Down

Jim Engel    Nov 6, 2018

Frans Jansen, President of the FCI Utility Dogs Commission, has delivered a stinging rebuke to the AWDF, reaffirming direct FCI recognition of USCA scorebooks, judges and titles entirely independent of the AWDF. (See memo below.)

The one remaining issue would seem to be whether the AWDF has to allow USCA members to enter the FCI IPO championship qualification trial. Perhaps they do not, but if AWDF does not have to allow USCA members to participate in their trial, the FCI does not have to accept their trial as valid.

Likely they would not.

In order to survive, the AWDF will need to either reach an agreement with USCA or make the qualifier open to anybody with any scorebook, regardless of affiliation and regardless of whether they hold a membership in an AWDF club.

AWDF is in on the brink of irrelevance; in order to somehow survive they would as a minimum need to dump president Anne Camper, vice president Annetta Cheek and pull the FCI logo off of their web page.

Then they would have to reach an accommodation with USCA, which might not want to climb back on board a sinking ship.

It is time for a complete do over of the AWDF.
